Saturday Acca

We're going for 3 big favourites to win by at least 2 goals with the Premier League title to be settled in some style.

We’ve got a Saturday accumulator with a difference this week as we go bold by backing Spurs, Middlesbrough and title-chasing Man City to all win by at least 2 goals. It comes in at a best price 15.4/1 with Betfair.

Stoke v Tottenham:

If anything we could be regarded as being cautious in this one given that Spurs have beaten Stoke by a 4-goal margin 4 times in a row - a top flight record. Things were looking a bit brighter under Lambert but they are now winless in 8 and struggling for goals after problems down the other end most of the season. Poch’s boys are chasing down 2nd spot and this could be a pivotal day in that battle.

Middlesbrough v Forest:

I wrongly picked Forest for the drop from the Championship this season but that’s mainly down to a decent start because they’ve now won just 3 times in 18 league outings. Even more pertinently for this bet they have nothing to play for unlike play-off hunting Boro who are 6th. The hosts have scored 3 goals in 3 of their last 4 at home and can do so again here.

Man City v Man Utd:

The big one. City can win the title against their biggest rivals and I don’t see Guardiola risking a really bad week by playing a weakened side as some have suggested. As he has said, their faint hopes in the Champions League will only be helped by a morale-boosting result against United. At home in the league the champions elect have beaten Liverpool 5-0, Spurs 4-1 and Arsenal 3-1. Another defining win with a gloss should almost be expected.
