Saturday Acca

We're backing the champions to bounce back, Norwich to come back down to earth and Bristol City to win the top of the table clash in the Championship.

Today’s accumulator reaches the heady heights of 36.89/1 with Betfred as we back Manchester City, Burnley and Bristol City to all win while conceding in the process.

Man City (h) to beat Watford & BTTS: (6/4)

We start with the champions who were humbled at Carrow Road last weekend and surely everyone expects a reaction from City. The bookies think it’s more likely that Pep’s boys win to nil but the Hornets looked reborn as an attacking force in the second half against Arsenal, scoring twice and hunting for more. Watford average the third most shots per match (17.2), only trailing their opponents and Liverpool in that category. Expect a lively encounter.

Burnley (h) to beat Norwich & BTTS: (5/2)

I wouldn’t normally back Burnley plus goals but then again Norwich aren’t your typical opponents. The quintessential breath of fresh air, the newly promoted side stunned City last weekend but Turf Moor is an entirely different sort of challenge and it may be hard to maintain those standards. The Canaries have conceded the most goals in the division but Pukki alone means they normally find the net themselves.

Bristol City (h) to beat Swansea & BTTS: (10/3)

Arguably game of the day in the Championship sees two of the top-4 meet and I wonder if Swansea’s bubble has burst after last week’s home defeat to Forest. Their hosts could overtake them today if they can maintain their great unbeaten form (W4 D1). The last three of Bristol City’s victories have come with their opponents scoring; their other recent game ended 2-2. They attack better than they defend.
