So far, endless tweaking of the off-field setup has been yet to stop the rot on the pitch. Derby have lost 9 times, winning once - they shouldn't be hot favourites against anyone.
We don’t have anything against Derby County, who we also backed to lose last Saturday, but the outstanding slice of value today looks like Wycombe to win this relegation dogfight at best odds of 4/1 with Bet365.
You just have to ask yourself how a team sat rock bottom of the table, with one victory all season, can be odds on (3/4) to win against any team above them.
Wycombe are no great shakes themselves but two clean sheets in a row and a run of just one defeat in five outings (W2 D2) gives them a platform to build on.
The Rams haven’t found theirs yet. Rooney is set to sit this one out to focus on co-management responsibilities, while Steve McLaren is back as technical director. Big names, but those don’t automatically reap points.
