Cottagers Need To Get Going

After two defeats to start the season, Felix Magath must turn to his new star man to reverse Fulham's fortunes.

Wednesday night is the night when Fulham and in particular Ross McCormack can get their season up and running by claiming three points over recently promoted Wolves.

It’s been an inauspicious start for one of the promotion favourites but that means we can get a tempting best price of 7/4 (Betfred) on McCormack scoring anytime at Craven Cottage.

The media have made much of the fact that Felix Magath recently ‘criticised’ the £11m man’s fitness. Indeed, he left the 28-year-old out of the starting line-up for the last match against Millwall, but he is due for a recall tonight. Furthermore, the boss wasn’t nearly as scathing of the player as reports suggested.

Magath clearly has faith in the most expensive player in Championship history and it’s far too soon to write him or the Londoners off.

The Scottish international found the net 28 times at this level in 2013-14 and ought to find even more opportunities with Fulham. A potent finisher with a point to prove looks a good bet here.
