Championship Each-Way Tip: Bristol City

12 matches unbeaten and full of goals, the Robins remain unfancied by the bookies but that can't last much longer.

The Championship is shaping up to be a bit of a classic this season with an interesting combination of big spenders and dark horses occupying the top spots after a dozen games.

Cardiff and Sheffield Utd have won the bookies over to be regarded as serious contenders while they refuse to rule out Fulham, Boro or Villa despite their relatively slow starts. Wolves have emerged as the clear favourites and lead the way.

But only three places and five points back sit Bristol City, who at a best price of 25/1, remain dangerously underrated. Back them each way at that price with Ladbrokes and get paid out at 1/4 odds if they finish in the top three.

The Robins have somehow continued to slip under the radar despite being on a 12-match unbeaten run across all competitions which has included EFL Cup wins over two Premier League sides.

They have drawn a few too many games in that sequence but as the third highest goalscorers in the division, they have the capability to convert many of those into wins.

City remain a big price simply because they are less glamorous with a less distinguished recent history than the sides around them. It didn’t stop Huddersfield.
