Tie Still Has Plenty Of Pep
If Bayern score the first goal then this Champions League semi-final could still prove to be a classic.
With Bayern forced to go for it on Tuesday night, over 3.5 goals in the match looks like a good value bet at best odds of 17/10.
The firepower of both teams is immense. The Bundesliga champions have won their last five Champions League home games scoring an average of 3.8 goals per match. Barcelona, of course, have the lethal trio of Messi, Suarez and Neymar with their 109 combined goals this season.
When these adversaries met in the semi-finals two years ago the Germans won 4-0 at the Allianz Arena. A year later the hosts capitulated 4-0 to eventual champions Real Madrid.
It’s hard to know exactly what will happen in this second leg but one things seems likely, it won’t be dull even if it remains one-sided.
