Pole Opposite

Criticised in the media, but not by his coach, Lewandowski has enjoyed another stellar campaign and could make an impact in this second leg.

A lot of rubbish has been written about Robert Lewandowski being a fading force but his 44 goals in 48 appearances for club and country this season would certainly suggest otherwise to me!

Yes he’s having the most minor of barren spells in the Champions League but he’s found the net in 4 of his last 4 domestically and might be worth a punt at best odds of 4/1 with BetVictor to score first in the second leg of this semi-final.

It’s widely believed that the Polish international wants to move to the Spanish giants and this could be a great moment to impress.

Lewandowski scored all 4 when Borussia Dortmund beat Real in the 2013 semi-final first leg and last year he converted a penalty in the Bernabeu.

Bayern have to make all the running and if they do then the 29-year-old could outshine Ronaldo, at least for a while.
