Madrid Misery Mounts

Real Madrid are down in 6th place in La Liga after another dreadful away day on Saturday. They've already changed manager and this is not the trip you want when confidence is low.

How quickly can a new manager be in crisis? Well Santiago Solari may be able to answer that question soon after a humbling 3-0 defeat to Eibar in his first match in permanent charge of Real Madrid.

Following that, how can you not be interested in backing Roma to beat the Spanish giants, at home, at best odds of 12/5 with Bet365?

It certainly wasn’t Real’s first terrible away day this season following 4 away defeats in 5 outings in La Liga, also including a 3-0 loss in Sevilla and a 5-1 hammering at Barcelona.

It’s not even been all plain sailing in the Champions League after a 1-0 loss to CSKA Moscow in October. Roma are considerably better than those opponents and enjoyed a 4-1 victory over Sampdoria just before the international break.

The odds are a relic of club stature and have nothing to do with the here and now.
