Ajax have been exhilarating throughout their Champions League campaign with the standout performances coming on the road. The fear, from an English perspective, is that Spurs are knackered and peaked in the Man City tie.
The Champions League semi-final between two underdogs promises to be a classic with Ajax great value to win the first leg, even in London, with both teams to score, at best odds of 11/2 with Bet365.
Tottenham are stretched badly with key injuries while the Dutch continue to go from strength to strength with 7 wins and a draw in their last 8 outings.
Backing both teams to score does seem to make sense though. This has been the case in Ajax’s last 5 Champions League games and although they’ve scored an incredible 111 goals in their domestic league, they have conceded more than PSV and Alkmaar.
