Champions League Final: Scoreline Prediction
Atletico could be without the services of Costa and Turan - their two top scorers in the competition.
No other bookmaker has rivalled Ladbrokes’ offer of money back if Ronaldo scores anytime during the Champions League final, so we’re almost obliged to follow the selected markets which apply.
‘Correct score’ is one such market and at 11/2 a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes looks like a wise option. Real are the big favourites after their demolition of holders Bayern in the semis but they may have to rely on extra-time or even penalties to claim the trophy.
Atletico simply cannot be underestimated any longer. The new La Liga champions are also the only remaining unbeaten team in this competition and they have only conceded six goals en route to Lisbon. The biggest problem they face is that talisman Diego Costa has almost certainly been ruled out with a hamstring tear.
We backed Real from the outset to win the Champions League and we won’t defer now. But Diego Simeone’s boys have done enough to suggest this one could go the distance.
