Bundesliga Leaders Can Unpick Knackered Spurs

Recent results suggest Spurs are going from strength to strength but Leicester should have won at the weekend and the best team in Germany in 2018-19 will surely be less forgiving of hosts running on empty.

The Bundesliga title race has similarities to the English top flight with Dortmund suddenly dropping points with the favourites in hot pursuit. February hasn’t yet gone to plan for coach Lucien Favre.

Being beaten in the DFB Cup on penalties was a blow, but surrendering a 3-0 lead at home to Hoffenheim in the league at the weekend felt disastrous. But the table-toppers haven’t become a less brilliant side, and the Champions League may even feel like a welcome break just now. The Germans are favourites to progress but best odds of 13/5 with Bet365 on them winning in London appeals.

Tottenham have somehow managed to keep their own unlikely title hopes alive without Kane and Alli but they are running on empty, and haven’t really faced a top team without their best players.

Dortmund are most certainly that and they may reset a hugely promising season at Wembley.
