Canaries Relish Derby Day

Norwich are on blistering form, have home advantage and have won all the recent 'Old Farm' derbies.

The East Anglian derby is being billed as the biggest for over a decade as both teams are battling for promotion at the same time. Only one point separates the rivals and the opportunity was made even greater by Derby and Boro both losing on Saturday.

Norwich are the Championship’s form team after winning five on the bounce scoring 14 and conceding just three in the process.

A deeper look at the shot statistics for the season suggests this was coming. The Canaries have enjoyed both the most shots per game in 2014-15 (16.5) and conceded the fewest shots against themselves per game (9.9) in the division. It’s a combination which should see them finish higher than their current 6th position.

The hosts also have Gary Hooper back in the fold on Sunday while Ipswich’s squad is depleted. The Tractor Boys have lost their last three derbies and it looks likely to happen again at a best price of 20/21 with BetVictor.
