Bony Helps Swansea Dare To Dream
He scored in the 3-0 victory in Valencia and his form is much stronger now.
Regular readers will know that Wilfried Bony is one of my favourite anytime goalscorer candidates and he’ll continue to be so for as long as he’s offered up at best odds of 10/3 (William Hill)!
Swansea City’s record buy has paid back much of the £12m invested in him already by grabbing 19 goals so far in his debut season in Wales. The Ivorian was initially used sparingly by Michael Laudrup and now Garry Monk is the one reaping the rewards.
The 25-year-old has found the net nine times in his last 11 games including a brace on Sunday at Anfield. The thing I like most about him is that he raises his level against the top sides. Since the start of 2014, he has fired against Man City (twice), Man Utd, Spurs and Liverpool.
With this in mind we shouldn’t doubt his prospects against Napoli. Bony was a constant menace in the first leg and might just make his presence felt on another big stage.
