Black Cats Starting To Purr

Sam Allardyce loves roughing up the likes of Arsenal and his side have the psychological edge going into this one.

Sunderland have only tasted defeat once in their last six outings and although there have been too many draws, the 3-0 win at Norwich last time out was coming.

In truth the Black Cats have been highly competitive since the turn of the year, winning as many league games as they have lost in 2016 (W4 D8 L4).

Furthermore, the performances against the top sides could easily have produced better results. They lost narrowly to Man City, West Ham and Leicester and even led at White Hart Lane before a second half capitulation. There’s been no such collapse since.

There has also been a win over Man Utd and a draw at Anfield so an inconsistent Arsenal who have thrown away their title hopes should hold no fear.

Gunners fans are discontented and the hosts could add to their woes at the attractive best price of 9/2 with Bet365.
