The new FA Cup champions head to north London with both teams desperately needing the win.
After an extraordinary weekend it feels like anything could happen in this fixture. Will Wigan be on a euphoric high that can carry them to a second huge improbable victory in the space of four days? Or will they be running on empty and get battered by an Arsenal side chasing a top-four finish.
At best odds of 7/1 (Bet365), I think the value is in backing lightning to strike twice, simply because the price is too long. One thing that Saturday’s FA Cup final ensures is that Wigan have nothing to fear while Martinez knows his boys can rise to the big occasion.
And we’ve been here before. The Latics came to the Emirates fighting relegation last April and left with three points after a 2-1 success. Could the greatest of all escapes still be on?
