Arsenal v Crystal Palace Preview
West Brom showed it could (almost) be done and Palace should start moving up the table with Sam Allardyce in charge.
West Brom frustrated Arsenal for long periods on Boxing Day and were only minutes away from gaining a point and landing our double chance bet at 12/5.
On New Year’s Day the Gunners face almost an identical scenario, with on paper an easy game at home against Crystal Palace that could prove anything but.
Sam Allardyce will likely follow Tony Pullis’s blueprint and aim to frustrate the home team and hit them on the counter. His first game against Watford might not have been pretty but it was effective and we can expect more of the same at the Emirates
Crystal Palace’s underlying numbers are of a mid-table team and Allardyce should have no problem in moving them up the league, simply variance will do that. At 11/4 they are cracking value to avoid defeat against Arsenal.
