Kempton: Tiger Crusade
Finished behind two of these a week ago but didn't get a clear run when using the cut-away and lost a shoe in the process. Won over course and distance a year ago off a 3lbsigher mark.
The 8.00 Kempton is a competitive handicap and many of these raced against each other 7 days ago. Aramis Grey came out on top but expect the placings to switch-around completely. Strike Red was the fastest closer and an obvious eye-catcher from the widest gate but Tiger Crusade was perhaps the less obvious but equally valid eye-catcher.
He too closed from off the pace but dived in at the cut away where he saw his path blocked twice and he lost a shoe. Whereas Strike Red was able to gather some momentum Tiger Crusade had a stop-start passage but was still holding off Strike Red at the line.
Twice a winner at Kempton including over course and distance of 3lbs higher he looks a big danger from stall 1.
